How to Use Orange Hashtags in Comments to Increase YouTube Views

YouTube just quietly launched a new feature in their comments system. Now you can use some hashtags that will show up highlighted in orange in in video comments. It works pretty much like in twitter, you can click those tags and it will show you a list of the most recent videos where that tag has been used in a comment. Right now you can only use these colored tags #FTW #LOL #OMG #FAIL but it’s quite possible that they extend this feature to include more hot topics and create some kind of “trending topics”.

So, how can you use this to increase YouTube views?

Some people use YouTube auto comment to try to get some attention but most of them don’t know how to do it. If you look like you are begging for views, people wil ignore your comments so the first thing you have to do is keep a confident tone, write more words than the average and surprise them with catchy phrases. Now, adding one of these colored hashtags can increase the heat of attention in the list of comments below a video. Just make sure you use this in your advantage by adding the most important message you want to deliver right after the hashtag. Try to add a “call to action” kind of comment between two colored hashtags but don’t ask for favours, be confident and show some social proof.
