History of Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals are a professional American football team. The Arizona Cardinals highlights Cardinals play at the most competitive football league in the world. This league is known as the National Football League or the NFL.

The franchise originally started play in Chicago. In Chicago they were called the Morgan Athletic Club initially. Finally they took on the title of the Chicago Cardinals. The title of the Cardinals came about when the Morgan Athletic Club was invited to join the National Football League.

The Cardinals now play in the NFC(National Football Conference) West. They’ve played in that branch of the National Football Conference since 2002.

The Cardinals saw almost all of their biggest success in the early years they had been playing in Chicago. The first bit of achievement was among the most controversial points of NFL history. The group was in the league before they began using a championship match. The Cardinals were among the greatest teams in the league, but nobody really believed they are the group to be named champions. Against all odds the Pottsville Maroons were snubbed and didn’t get the championship title.

The Cardinals won their first of two NFL Championships that year.

Although that has been a little of an illegitimate championship, they did have another championship which was determined in normal fashion. The team was able to make the playoffs in 1947, and they could win the championship match. This was considered another NFL Championship. Though it was an NFL Championship it’s held in another regard compared to Super Bowl Champions. The Super Bowl was still some time from its start when the Cardinals won their names.

Through time that the Cardinals have had up and down eras. It seems like they begin to show signs of promise, but after a very short time they would fall from grace. This type of thing happened for the Cardinals from the 70s.

The group found itself in position to compete in 1974. They were headed by a good team and was able to win the NFC East division title. The Cardinals found their selves in position to win the division again in 1975. These back to back division champions were the first division championships the group had won in almost 30 years.

Regrettably the Cardinals found their group in another slump after 1975. The group went on another streak of over 30 years without winning another division title. The Cardinals have bounced back in the past 2 years from the dreadful streak they had suffered.

The Cardinals have been fueled with a great passing attack in the previous two decades. They had two excellent recipients in Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald. Both of these receivers are a couple of the greatest receivers in the game and both require a bunch of attention. The group was also led by Kurt Warner, a proven veteran who always seemed to measure up for the group. They won the division title in 2008 and 2009 with this group. The team will now play without Boldin and Warner. Time will tell whether the offense can continue on with their leading passing attack.
